When I last visited New York in the 1980′s, I thought the city was full of rude, loud and obnoxious people.
When I visited New York last year, I warned my husband about the “unfriendly” climate. I found out I was wrong. The people of New York City could not have been nicer. They were patient when I got lost, helpful when I could not find my ticket to ride a bus, appreciative when I tipped them and were most of all, sentimental, fiercely loyal and patriotic when they spoke of 911. New York has grown a soft, humble and pliable heart. It was born from horrific loss and senseless tragedy. New York City is everyman’s city that calls the Untied States their home. I look forward to returning. They have shouldered an unbearable burden with grace, courage and great dignity of spirit. The media may try to keep us from remembering their loss, but New Yorkers speak with hushed voices of pride and love when they remember. They will not forget.
I highly recommend visiting New York City. I love you NYC.
God, we ask that you protect our shores, our families and our very lives from the evil that would be planned against us. Amen
It is great that you discovered the “Real NYC.”
As in every great City of our Greater America wonderful people can be found on most any Street.
Nice Web Site, Blog and opportunities.
